Renaming an app on your personal computer or changing its icon is a five-finger exercise; even a child can do that! But do you even think of doing the same on your Android OS Smartphone? It’ll be fun, right? We researched it and found some ways to change the name of your app on Android via some applications. There are specific ways to do that, such as APK editors, Launchers, Modules, etc.
Let’s check out all of these methods and estimate which one is feasible and why!
APK Editors
The very first method that we found to rename the app is via APK editors. For this purpose, you have to follow the below-mentioned simple steps: –
Step 1: Firstly, you need the APK package of the targeted app. If you do not have the APK format, then you can compile it with the help of Astro File Manager.
Step 2: After compiling the APK package, download it on your mobile and download version4.0; you need Java to get that version, so download Java if you do not have it.
Step 3: Now, finally, you have both the APK file and editor so let’s initiate the editing. Run the APK editor and upload the APK package of the respective app here.
Step 4: The editor will read the file and the display icon, and the name will appear in front of you. Here you can easily edit the name of the app.
Step 5: After changing the name, click on the apply button to save changes and enjoy the app’s new name.
Via Launchers
Let me tell you something; the Playstore is full of launchers that can make this process easy for you. Just install any launcher from the store, such as Nova Launcher or Apex Launcher. In my opinion, Nova Launcher is the best one. After the installation, you can quickly rename your app. Just long-press the app, and you will get an option of “Edit.” Click on edit and rename your app here.
Module Xposed
Heard the first time about this thing? Let me explain it! Xposed is a type of framework that saves modules and makes your Android extremely feasibly for you. It was solely developed to change the name of an app on android and display that name in all other locations.
Download the xRenamer module on your mobile and activate it in the module section; after that, restart your device. Now you are good to go to change the name of your app. Thanks to me later.
QuickShortcutMaker
Here we are presenting you another method to rename your app but let me tell you that it is not as efficient as the other ones, as QuickShortcutMaker only changes the name of the app on the first page.
Install this app from Google Playstore and launch it. Here you will see the menu of every installed app on your mobile. Click on the desired app and press “Press to change labels” on the screen’s top right corner. Finally, press the Create button. You will see your app with the changed-name.- This topic was modified 3 years, 10 months ago by Sundas Sohail.
