Shortly after breaking the 10,000 (ten thousand) mark for total number of apps created on the platform, altogether these have also achieved a significant milestone: 1 million installs.

ALEXANDRIA, Virginia – Apr. 14, 2011 – AppsGeyser - the fastest growing free Android DIY (do-it-yourself) app creation platform reached a new milestone today. Shortly after breaking the 10,000 (ten thousand) mark for total number of apps created on the platform, altogether these have also achieved a significant milestone: 1 million installs. This is great news since the platform was merely launched in January of this year. In a short period, AppsGeyser has quickly accumulated an audience of people and organizations who are excited with the simplicity of the app creation process.

Vasily Salomatov, co-founder of AppsGeyser recently participated at a Mobile Web and Apps World Forum panel during CTIA Wireless 2011 and he mentioned “We are providing the people a way to create mobile apps instantly and because we are Android we allow them to iteratively test their app ideas with customers. We see people creating 3 apps, gathering statistics the next day, improving them and discovering what works the best”.

Already there is a distinct variety of applications created on AppsGeyser, with News and Blog apps dominating with 21% of the total. This category is quickly followed by the Game apps, with 15%. People are benefiting from a new way to bring their existing web content to natively inhabit on mobile devices. This generates a new distribution channel and user experience.

AppsGeyser is also growing in the Enterprise field, with employees from companies of the likes of Walmart having tested the platform to create android apps.
