This article provides step-by-step instructions on how to resolve this error and successfully update your app on Google Play.
If you receive the following error message after
uploading a new app bundle for an update:
The error message indicates that the package
name of your app was changed at some point, causing a mismatch between the
package name in the rebuilt app and the package name registered on Google
Play.
Resolution Steps:
- Find the draft for the upload that resulted in the package name mismatch error
and discard it. This will allow you to start fresh with the package name
correction.
- Find Google Play link of your app, it looks
like this: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.wApp_123456. In

Dashboard and scroll down to find the current package name.
