Listing an app in Google Play is the number one priority if you’re looking to boost Android app discovery. Just being listed in the number one Android app store is the most important part of getting your app out to the world. It doesn’t stop there.
How you list your app in Google Play is the difference between an app that gets ignored and an app that gets downloaded. If you’re looking to increase app downloads, everything about your Google Play listing counts.
There are a few ways to address the issue of a landing page. One way is to build a page on Google Sites or another free host that describes the app. Another is to link to the site that the app draws content from (if the app draws content from a website). A third is to use the app’s Facebook page.
What we suggest, though, if you’re unsure, is to use the AppsGeyser landing page. Here’s why:
- It’s already there. You don’t have to build it. You don’t have to host it.
- It gives you an opportunity to give people a second description, because the description you enter in your AppsGeyser app information is different from the description entered in Google Play.
- The AppsGeyser page gives potential viewers an additional preview of the app.
When NOT to Use the AppsGeyser App Page as a Landing Page
If you’re selling the app in Google Play, linking to the AppsGeyser page gives people a free way to download your app. If the app is for sale in Google Play, be sure not to give anyone the URL of your AppsGeyser download page, and don’t list your app in the AppsGeyser App Market.
How to Make a Unique Landing Page Quickly
Make a site in Google Sites. Use the simplest possible layout. Include some screenshots of your app, a good description, some customer quotes, if possible, and a link to your app in Google Play!
