Yesterday, we talked about Christmas. Tonight, though, is the first night of Hanukkah (Chanukah? Chanukka? Is there a right way to spell it?)
In honor of our Jewish readers, I thought we’d share some good geeky Hanukkah fun.
First, if you Google ‘Hanukkah,’ you’ll get a bunch of ‘Stars of David’ under your search bar. (If you Google ‘Christmas,’ you get Christmas lights, and if you Google ‘let it snow,’ you’ll get a personal blizzard, complete with windshield defogging needs.)
Second, if you’re a geek, this is the Menorah you need.
Third, if you want to know how to light your Menorah in a way that Chris Pirillo would be proud of, check out this great video, produced and directed by 9-year-old Yair Berzofsky. He even provided the musical score to this cute short.
And, of course, no holiday would be complete without an Android app. Check out Hanukkah Dreidel FREE for a way to play the special Hanukkah spinning top game from the comfort of your phone. Guard your chocolate coins!
If you haven’t created a Hanukkah Android app yet, you still have 7 more days, or you could always get an early start for next year. Be sure to let us know in the comments what Hanukkah AppsGeyser apps you’re creating.
